Etymology: ‘Lepist’ from genus Lepista; ella (Latin) - indicating smallness.
Diagnosis Similar to Lepista but differing by the lignicolous habit, eccentric stipe, yellowish-brown pigmented basidiospores in KOH or NH4OH and the presence of gelatinized refractive collapsed hyphae in the lamella trama and pileus context.
