Etymology: Guyana; gaster = stomach (Greek), referring to the country of origin and sequestrate basidiomata.

Basidiomata globosa usque ovata vel irregulariter lobata, 22−52 × 11−34 mm, nigra, verrucosa; stipes concolor, laevis, 7−10 × 4−6 mm, ad radices lignosae affixus; gleba roseo‐pallida usque lateritia, loculis gelatinosis; columella continua cum stipite, roseo‐pallida usque rubro‐aurantia; basidiosporae globosae, echinulatae, pedicellatae, avellinae, dextrinoidea, 15.5−18.5 × 15.6−18.8 µm.
