Bonomyces Vizzini, Index Fungorum 159: 1 (2014)

Etymology: Named in honour of Marcel Bon (1925-2014), French mycologist.

Diagnosis: Differs from the genus Infundibulicybe Harmaja by having ovate to elliptical, not lacrymoid spores with obtuse, not confluent base and pileipellis hyphae with mainly cytoplasmatic pigment.
