Auriculariopsis

Auriculariopsis Maire 1902, in Gorjón, Studies in Fungi 5(1), 166-167 (2020).

Current name: Schizophyllum Fr. [as 'Schizophyllus'], Observationes mycologicae (Havniae) 1, 103 (1815)

Diagnosis: Basidiome cupulate, abhymenial surface velvety to tomentose, hymenophore folded, subgelatinosus when fresh. Hyphal system monomitic to dimitic, generative hyphae with clamps and hair skeletal hyphae close to the abhymenial surface. Cystidia absent. Basidia subclavate, with 4-sterigmata and a basal clamp. Basidiospores allantoid, smooth, thin-walled, IKI–.
