            Etymology: Rhynchos (Gr.) - beak, gaster (Gr.) - body, belly

            Diagnosis: In Latin, Hyphae hyalinae, tenuitunicatae, fibulatae, cum haustoriis propriis tremelloideis. Probasidia plusminusve subglobosa inde longicolla et apicaliter par-tim septis cruciatis divisa. Basidiosporae sessiles, Gasteromycetum modo non eiectae. In cultura pura cellulae gemmantes adsunt.
