Callosus

Callosus C.L. Zhao 2023, in Chen et al., Mycotaxon, 137, 435-448 (2022).

Etymology: Callosus (Lat.) refers to the hard membranous basidioma and its smooth hymenophore.

Diagnosis: Basidiomata annual, resupinate, membranous. Hymenial surface smooth, white to cream. Hyphal system monomitic; generative hyphae bearing simple septa, IKI, CB; tissues unchanged in KOH. Cystidia capitate, cystidioles absent. Basidia clavate to cylindrical, with four sterigmata. Basidiospores ellipsoid, colorless, thin-walled, smooth, IKI, CB–. Type of rot: white rot.
