Etymology: Terrestriporia (Lat.): referring to the species in the genus growing on ground.
Diagnosis: Basidioma annual, resupinate, hymenophore poroid and white, hyphal structure monomitic, generative hyphae mostly simple septate, but occasionally with clamp connections, gloeoplerous hyphae and gloeocystidioles present, basidiospores hyaline, thin-walled, smooth, amyloid, acyanophilous.
