Celatogloea

Celatogloea P. Roberts 2005, in Roberts, Mycologist, 19(2), 69-71 (2005).

Etymology: from the Latin ‘celatus’ (= concealed) + Classical Greek ‘gloea’ (= glue), the latter element having frequently been used in naming genera of auricularioid heterobasidiomycetes.

Diagnosis: Basidiomes within the hymenium of the host, not visible to the naked eye. Hyphae hyaline, with tremelloid haustorial cells, clamped in the type species. Basidia tubular, aseptate, monosterigmate, arising from thin to thick-walled probasidia. Basidiospores germinating by yeast cells.
