            Etymology: “Retiperidioliarefers to the key morphological characteristic of this genus, which is the reticulation of the peridiole cortex

Diagnosis: Diagnosis: This genus is distinguished by the peridiole cortex, which is conspicuously reticulate, composed of highly branched hyphae that are thickest towards the edge of each peridiole but are thinner towards the center. So far, this genus has only been found in the tropics, i.e., Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Hawaii (USA)
